By the end of the year, Kazakhstan will implement a project
to process geological reports and create a geological exploration database
using artificial intelligence. This was reported by the country’s Ministry of
Industry and Construction. According to experts, AI recognizes scanned
documents, including reports, tables, and maps. The data is then converted into
a machine-readable Big Data format. Based on this information, geological
models of potential deposits are created. The data is subsequently uploaded to
a unified subsoil use platform. The convenience, transparency, and accuracy of
the data make geological information more accessible to investors. In total, 22
public services have already been digitized. Starting this year, reporting on
license and contract terms has been fully transitioned to a digital format.
