Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a series of meetings with foreign investors. During talks with World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Antonella Bassani, he discussed the implementation of the 2026–2031 Country Partnership Framework. The two sides highlighted the importance of Kazakhstan's long-standing cooperation with the international financial institution. Antonella Bassani praised the reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan and congratulated the country on the adoption of its new Constitution.
«It’s a very historical and important moment for the country. I also would like to note a very impressive economic performance of the country in the last few years, including impressive GDP growth, significant improvement in the living standards of the population,» Antonella Bassani noted.
The Prime Minister discussed the implementation of projects at Karachaganak and the North Caspian, as well as prospects for cooperation in geological exploration, with Peter Costello, President of Shell plc’s Exploration and Production division. During a meeting with Clay Neff, President of Chevron Upstream, Bektenov reviewed issues related to the strategic partnership. Particular attention was paid to the Tengiz and Karachaganak projects, as well as ensuring the stable operation of new production facilities. Following the meetings, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening investment cooperation.
