The
Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex film
lecture series From Chronicle to the Future, which
was launched in the capital, has
continued in the regions. In Kyzylorda, audiences were shown the documentary
film titled Aral. Through the life
story of the main character, Kuntugan Turgynbayev, the filmmakers reveal the
history of the Aral Sea and the changes that have taken place in the region
over the past decades.
«It was very well filmed and presented.
Through the fate and life story of an ordinary fisherman, the filmmakers were
able to convey so much
in just half an hour. The restoration of the Aral Sea is under the special
supervision of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which certainly gives hope,» viewer
Nurlybai Ulykpanuly said.
Another
film presented to audiences was Sert. It is dedicated to the response to
the natural disaster, namely the
massive floods of 2024. The documentary shows how the consequences of the
spring flooding were addressed in a short period of time, including the
construction of new homes and the restoration of infrastructure. Viewers note
that, under the personal supervision of the Head of State, the impacts of the
flooding were successfully overcome.
The film lecture series also continued in Turkistan, Shymkent, and Taraz. In these cities, movie enthusiasts were particularly impressed by the documentaries Travel Kazakhstan and Kuatty Seriktes. The first highlights the country's tourism potential, while the second focuses on the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan. Through these documentaries, audiences are introduced to the country’s history, told through real events and the lives of ordinary people.
«The film left a very good impression. I liked it. It is encouraging that Kazakh documentary filmmaking is reaching a new level. The film pays attention to every detail, and the characters are well developed. I realized that there are no limits in creating documentary filmmaking,» viewer Dinmukhammed Kudaibergen shared.
It is worth reminding that the national film lecture
series From Chronicle to the Future is aimed at promoting documentary
cinema that tells the story of Kazakhstan’s modern history. This large-scale
educational project is being implemented as part of the 30th anniversary of the
Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex. Screenings will also take place in
other regions of the country and will conclude on September 25 in Almaty.
