Kazakhstan, Serbia strengthen cooperation in agriculture and tourism

The trade turnover of agricultural products between Kazakhstan and Serbia increased by 1.5 times, reaching $4 million, according to the results of the first half of 2025. Kazakhstan is ready to expand exports of grain, fish, meat, and dairy products, as well as implement joint projects in agricultural raw material processing. 20 domestic enterprises exporting fish products have already been included in the EU register, and four major producers are ready to start supplying honey. Prospects for cooperation were discussed in Almaty at the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin and Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić. The parties also paid special attention to developing tourism and launching direct flights between Astana and Belgrade this year.

«We view Kazakhstan as a friendly country, and in addition to the political relations we maintain, we are keen to see our ties thrive in the sphere of trade and economic cooperation. We are actively working to launch flights connecting our two countries, and our areas of interest also include tourism, education, healthcare, and the agro-industrial sector,» noted Ivica Dačić, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
