Serbia is one of Kazakhstan's key partners
on the Balkan Peninsula, and the two countries intend to enhance cooperation
across all sectors. There is significant potential for trade and economic
collaboration. Last year, the volume of bilateral trade grew by 23 percent, surpassing
$91 million. In the first nine months of this year, the trade volume reached
nearly $70 million, according to the State Revenue Committee. Notably,
Kazakhstan’s main exports to Serbia include mineral fertilizers, propylene
polymers, cotton wool, and plywood. Meanwhile, Serbia supplies Kazakhstan with cardboard,
aluminum profiles, glass products, and metal structures. Additionally, there is
considerable potential to expand exports of domestic agricultural products.
Currently, over 50 joint companies with Serbian capital are registered in
Kazakhstan. Notably, the legal framework between the two countries allows for
14 passenger flights under the open skies regime.
