Kazakhstan has increased its grain exports, shipping over
1.8 million tonnes abroad in the past two months, which represents a one-third
increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Traditionally, domestic wheat is purchased by Central Asian countries, Russia,
and Iran. In October, Kazakhstan also increased its exports to China. Moreover,
experts note that there is potential for nearly one million tonnes of grain to
be supplied to Türkiye and Middle Eastern countries.
