Kazakhstan exported 47.5 million tonnes
of oil worth about $30 billion in the first eight months of 2023, which is
almost a three percent increase, according to the Bureau of National
Statistics. The top customers are Italy, South Korea, the Netherlands, and
China. Kazakhstan also increased oil exports to Romania, France, Greece,
Singapore, Switzerland and Israel. The country’s Ministry of Energy noted that
in the first eight months of 2023, Kazakhstan produced 51.5 tonnes of oil. According
to the forecasts, the figure is expected to reach 90 million tonnes by the end
of the year. At the same time, exports may exceed 70 million tonnes.
