The first iX Islamic Exchange Traded Notes were listed at the Astana International Exchange. According to experts, the listing of these Shari’ah compliant securities in the Astana International Financial Centre’s stock will broaden the investor base, boost liquidity and gain access to Islamic financial products in new markets. The listing is the result of the growing demand for Islamic finance investment opportunities both in Kazakhstan and throughout Central Asia, experts added.
“This is the first retail tool that allows users of the Tabys application by the AIFC exchange to purchase Shari’ah compliant Exchange Traded Notes instruments. What is interesting about this tool, is that it costs less, therefore, citizens of Kazakhstan have more opportunities to acquire these tools,” Head of AIFC Islamic Finance and Business Hub, Madina Tukulova, said.
