Within the industrial
cooperation, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are implementing 60 projects worth
nearly $3 billion. Besides, the countries have 43 more promising ones. The
Central Asia International Center for Industrial Cooperation plays an important
role in further expanding bilateral trade potential. The countries are also set
to enhance transit and transport potential in the region. Moreover, Kazakhstan
is ready to expand export deliveries to Uzbekistan by $500 million across 255
items, which will increase trade. It is worth noting that bilateral trade
turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan amounted to $4.5 billion last year.
The governments of the two countries intend to continue working on the
implementation of investment and industrial projects to further boost trade and
strengthen cooperation in areas such as agriculture, water and energy, and
transit and transport.
