A digital version of the Astana Hub technology park was presented in the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan. According to experts, its main advantage is in its comprehensiveness. That is, all support tools and all players are concentrated on one platform. There people can get tax and visa preferences, apply for programs, fill out online reports, find an investor, and so on. Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Mussin outlined the main directions of the work of the digital technology park.
“It is also necessary to pay attention to regional hubs, so that the Astana Hub would not just attract everyone to the capital, but also played part in acceleration and incubation of startups in the regions. Last year they began working closely on this, and they are going to intensify it. We will also focus on exports. As you know, our goal is to have US$500 million in export revenues from the IT industry by 2025. Therefore, the Astana Hub will be fully focused on export potential. This year we will move towards cooperation with international acceleration platforms and venture capitalists,” said Bagdat Mussin, Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.
The digital technology park will enable local startups to enter foreign markets. Astana Hub was established on the instructions of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
