Kazakhstan opens its longest bridge

Kazakhstan has opened its longest bridge, spanning over one kilometer across the Bukhtarma Reservoir, connecting six districts in the East Kazakhstan region. The bridge will enable year-round, safe vehicle movement, with a capacity of up to 80,000 cars per day. This two-lane bridge was built using advanced engineering technologies, adhering to high-quality standards, as per the directive of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, who attended the opening, emphasized that the bridge’s location along key transport corridors will have a positive impact on the development of the logistics industry and ensure uninterrupted connections with neighboring countries.
