Kazakh citizens have begun receiving newly designed
passports. The document is equipped with additional modern security features
and now includes an image of a snow leopard, created using HDM (High Definition
Metallization) technology. This innovation not only speeds up the verification
process but also makes counterfeiting significantly more difficult - in fact,
nearly impossible. Existing passports remain valid and can be used until their
expiration date, provided they are not damaged or lost. According to the
relevant ministry, Kazakhstan’s identity documents are among the most secure,
incorporating 22 types of security elements. These features are designed in
accordance with international standards and requirements. Notably, the national
passport continues to strengthen its global standing, Kazakh citizens now enjoy
visa-free access to 79 countries.
