Kazakhstan to send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Kazakhstan is set to send rescue teams and humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, following the instructions of the country’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The country will provide those affected by the devastating earthquakes in western Afghanistan with food products, tents, medicines, clothing, and other essential supplies. Humanitarian aid will be soon delivered by air and railway transport. Kazakh rescue teams, including canine units, will be deployed to Afghanistan to assist in the rescue efforts. It is worth noting that on October 7th, a series of earthquakes were recorded in the Herat province, the most powerful measuring 6.3 in magnitude. The earthquakes killed around 2,500 people, and destroyed or damaged over 1,000 buildings.
