The introduction of artificial intelligence,
digitalization and process automation at Kazakhstan’s energy enterprises will
enhance both efficiency and safety in production, according to experts.
Advanced solutions will enable domestic companies to keep up with the times and
boost profitability. A representative of one of the world’s largest energy
technology companies is supplying specialized industrial equipment to
Kazakhstan. There are plans to expand cooperation in the field of digital
solutions in the energy sector. These intentions were revealed during the
Digital Energy & AI Summit 2023. The forum aims to bring together leading
energy companies and leaders in the field of IT technologies, providing an
impetus to the country’s digital transformation.
“I have been
following the discussions regarding cloud technologies, and the progress over
the past year has been remarkable. Accordingly, if we talk about the CIS
countries, then Kazakhstan appears to be leading in this aspect, and this is
very good for us. The solution I’m talking about does not require extensive
computing resources. Therefore, this proactive movement of Kazakhstan in the
field of digital technologies and cloud technologies will certainly expedite
project launches,” said Anton Melnik, Global Business Development Director of
Industrial Enterprise AI in the UAE.
“We’ve outlined
tentative projects for future cooperation. This includes the creation of
training centers at our Kazakh universities, dedicated to preparing IT
engineers for the industry. This is a very important task that will be
approached proactively, given that automation, digitalization, platform
transition, and the use of artificial intelligence represent the inevitable
future of our industry. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the workforce in
advance,” said Bakytzhan Ilyas, Kazakh Vice Minister of Energy.
