Kazakhstan and the European Union (EU) are developing a
Strategic Partnership Roadmap for 2025-2026, focusing on supporting
digitalization and geodata management. This was announced at the 16th meeting
of the Kazakhstan-EU dialogue platform, attended by the Kazakh Prime Minister,
the Chargé d'Affaires of the EU Delegation, and heads of diplomatic missions.
Olzhas Bektenov noted that Kazakhstan is implementing an updated Investment
Policy Concept through 2029, aimed at creating a favorable business climate. Additionally,
the government is introducing digital solutions in public administration. To
date, the EU accounts for over a third of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade and half
of the attracted investments. Last year, mutual trade turnover grew by 17%,
nearing $50 billion.
