Government ready to implement Kazakh-Korean agreements

The Kazakh Government is ready to implement the agreements reached with South Korea, as announced at a meeting between the country’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol. Bektenov emphasized that the country is interested in joint projects in such areas as energy, exploration and processing of rare earth metals, infrastructure, production of cars and their components, as well as water efficiency. New agreements open opportunities for the localization of major corporations’ production. Particularly, Kazakhstan is interested in the manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles using South Korean technologies and elevator equipment. The issue of launching new passenger air routes between the countries will also be worked out due to a twofold increase in the number of Korean tourists to Kazakhstan over the past year.
