President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Chairman of the
National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan. The Head of State emphasized that
the visit of the Armenian Parliament Speaker is important for deepening
bilateral cooperation, including between the legislative bodies. He noted that
Armenia is a reliable partner for Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus region.
According to President Tokayev, Kazakh-Armenian relations are steadily
developing, supported by regular political dialogue and the expansion of trade,
economic, and cultural and humanitarian ties. In turn, the Speaker of the
Armenian Parliament emphasized the need for practical measures to increase
mutual trade and expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for its efforts aimed at
achieving peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
