Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on transport sector development. The meeting focused on the implementation of instructions from the Head of State in the field of logistics. Special attention was given to expanding maritime and rail transportation, as well as launching a national cargo airline. In particular, discussions focused on its operational activities, including the phased deployment of aircraft on routes and ensuring access to affordable aviation fuel. In addition, solutions were considered to increase transportation volumes from Central Asia through Kazakhstan’s seaports of Aktau and Kuryk to European markets. In the railway sector, plans include further modernization of infrastructure, increasing network capacity, and improving tariff policy.
