As part of celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex, a large-scale educational project, the national film lecture series From Chronicle to the Future, is underway in the country. Last week, screenings took place in western Kazakhstan. In Aktobe, audiences were presented with original productions by the Documentary Film Center. Through the stories of the people featured in the films and landmark events, the documentaries trace Kazakhstan’s journey as an independent nation. The program featured four documentaries united by themes of life journeys, the pursuit of change, and individuals’ contributions to society’s development.
«This
is more than just a film screening; it is a platform for open dialogue and the exchange
of ideas about important chapters in our country’s history. Such films help us
see the past from a new perspective, preserve historical memory, and pass it on
to future generations,» said audience
member Gulkassima Suyentayeva.
