In Kazakhstan, judges will be selected with the help of AI. Thanks to a new information system, candidates will be able to complete all stages of the selection process online. This will improve the efficiency and transparency of the procedure. Candidates can submit documents, take the qualification exam, and track their results in a personal account from any region of the country. Due to the optimization, the competition for judicial positions will last about one month instead of the previous two. Notably, the work on creating a modern digital infrastructure is being carried out in the Supreme Judicial Council. In addition, the system will generate portfolios for applicants. If they participate again, they will not need to collect documents anew, as all data will be stored in digital form. The system will also cover the selection processes for the Academy of Justice under the Supreme Judicial Council. In this way, a unified digital ecosystem is being formed.
«Thanks to automation and the use of AI elements, we plan to
completely eliminate the human factor. The system will check not only
professional qualifications but also potential conflicts of interest, family
ties, and affiliations. Most importantly, it will ensure a clear and fair
process for selecting judges, fully aligned with the spirit of digital
Kazakhstan and the goals set by the Head of State,» noted Yevgeny Nedelsky, Deputy Head of
the Department, the Office of the Kazakh Supreme Judicial Council.
