Kazakhstan is rapidly developing its
artificial intelligence ecosystem, following the launch of a national
supercomputer. Digital transformation of government agencies and the
implementation of advanced technological solutions were the focus of a recent meeting
of a specialized commission. One major development is the QazTech digital
platform, set to launch in August. Designed to streamline the creation and
deployment of digital products, the platform significantly reduces implementation
time from one and a half to three years down to just six months. According to
the Minister of Digital Development, the platform will ensure unified
standards, the use of cloud technologies, and security at every stage of
product development. Kazakhstan has also adopted a national AI development
strategy through 2029 and is working on a draft law on AI. Prime Minister
Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that the emerging national AI infrastructure opens
new opportunities for automation, big data analytics, and intelligent
governance. He instructed officials to finalize digital transformation roadmaps
for government bodies within a month. These roadmaps will serve as a foundation
for AI integration and enable businesses to create their own solutions using
government data.
