Kazakhstan attracts $4 billion of investment in tourism industry over three years

The tourism industry in Kazakhstan has attracted over $4 billion in investment in the last three years. Overall, more than 400 new objects have been built in the country. For the first nine months of this year, the sector has attracted nearly 405 billion tenge of investments. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the growth amounted to 44 percent, with North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Aktobe and Almaty regions holding leading positions. As a result, the industry received additional impetus and attracted 100 billion tenge in the first half of the year. Compared to the same period in 2022, the indicators show an increase of almost a third, with the income growth of tourism entrepreneurs by 30 billion tenge.
