August 12 is the International
Youth Day. On the eve of this event, the Youth Week has kicked off in
Kazakhstan, as reported by the country’s Ministry of Information and Social
Development. According to the ministry, a number of charity, volunteer and environmental
actions, job fairs, various festivals, concerts as well as workshops for young
people have been held throughout the country since August 7. The week has started
with the 12 Good Deeds charity event, which will be held in every region of
Kazakhstan. These days, volunteers and representatives of youth organizations
will visit nursing homes and orphanages, conduct environmental campaigns and
provide assistance to those in need.
