The working trip of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to
the Almaty Region continued with visits to industrial and social facilities.
The Head of State reviewed the operations of the modern GREEN ECO greenhouse
complex, which specializes in the cultivation of natural green crops. The
entire production process is carried out without the use of chemicals,
fertilizers, or pesticides. The products are supplied to regions across the
country. The President also toured Kazakhstan’s largest garden center, Lukomorye.
Thanks to automation, the nursery is capable of producing up to 1.5 million
trees, ornamental shrubs, and flowers annually. The center’s products are in
demand domestically and are also exported to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also visited one of
the region’s unique sports projects – the international football academy
Atlético de Madrid Kazakhstan. Currently, 116 young footballers live and train
at the academy under a Spanish training methodology. All the necessary
conditions have been created to support their education. The President was
presented with plans for the academy’s further development and the expansion of
its sports infrastructure. These include the construction of two outdoor artificial-turf
football pitches and a covered arena with a capacity of 500 seats. The
academy’s location was selected with climatic factors in mind. The clean
mountain air and favorable climate of the Talgar district in the Almaty region
contribute to the rapid recovery of young athletes. The Head of State also
inspected the football pitch, whose surface meets FIFA standards. The President
spoke warmly with the young players and signed a football.
