On
May 14, 2026, in Astana, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and
President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan officially opened a school named
after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which was built in the Nurdagi city, located in the
areas of Turkiye that were heavily suffered by the devastating earthquake in
February 2023.
The project was carried out by the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development “KazAID” with financial support from "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC.
The project is yet another vivid example of the brotherly ties existing between Kazakhstan and Turkiye.
