Kazakh President to participate in fourth session of National Kurultai

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will participate in the fourth session of the National Kurultai (Congress), which will be held on March 14 in Burabai. The Head of State is expected to deliver a speech at the event, while members of the Kurultai will present their proposals on current public issues. The National Kurultai under the President, established in 2022 at the initiative of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, comprises one representative from each regional public council. Its main goal is to foster dialogue between the state and society. Its work is also aimed at strengthening national values and, in general, consolidating Kazakhstan’s society. Previous sessions of the National Kurultai were held in historically significant locations across the country - Ulytau, Turkistan, and Atyrau. As a result of these meetings, several laws and amendments have been adopted in Kazakhstan. In particular, they focus on ensuring women’s rights and children’s safety, combating gambling addiction, and allocating funds to children from the National Fund. Amendments have also been made to improve work in onomastics and heraldry, as well as to the law on state awards.
