Kazakh President takes part in Central Asia-US Summit

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the Central Asia-US Summit. He noted that the C5+1 meeting marks the beginning of a new era of interaction between the countries of the region and the United States. He specifically highlighted the role of President Donald Trump in international politics, describing him as a prominent statesman.

«Under your presidency America is ushering in a new Golden Age. I commend your far-sighted vision of Making America Great Again. This inspires me to pursue a target-oriented strategy towards building Just and Strong Kazakhstan on the basis of my concept «Law and Order  As President of Peace, you, Mr. Trump, brought to an end eight wars just within eight months. Thus, you have evidently reinforced Americas role as a pillar of international stability,» Tokayev said.

The Head of State reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening its strategic partnership with the U.S. and invited American companies to take advantage of the opportunities created in Kazakhstan.

«The United States is the largest investor with over $100 billion in our economy as its perpetuum mobile. Our trade turnover has doubled in recent years and is approaching $5 billion. We cover almost 25 percent of America’s domestic uranium demand. Kazakhstan has become a home country for 600 American companies,» he noted.

During Tokayev’s visit to Washington, agreements totaling more than $17 billion were signed. The 30 bilateral documents cover key areas such as artificial intelligence, aviation, education, digital technologies, and industry. Overall, the President noted, the potential for economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the U.S. exceeds half a trillion dollars.
