President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is also the Supreme
Commander-in-Chief of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces, received the newly appointed
Minister of Defense, Dauren Kossanov. During the meeting, Tokayev gave a number
of instructions focused on strengthening the army’s combat readiness,
introducing digital solutions into the command system, expanding the
capabilities of the Special Operations Forces, enhancing the effectiveness of
social and ideological work, and modernizing military infrastructure.
