Kazakhstan's national flag solemnly raised in New York City

Kazakhstan’s flag was raised to the sound of the national anthem at New York City's financial center on Wall Street. The ceremony was organized in the largest American metropolis on the eve of the Republic Day celebrations in Kazakhstan. Attendees included representatives of the Kazakh diaspora, business and student communities, diplomatic corps, as well as the mayor of New York City. The guests also enjoyed the sounds of the dombyra, a traditional Kazakh musical instrument.

«The national flag has always been and remains a symbol of unity and courage for our people. I am very pleased that we were able to organize such an event with our American colleagues,» noted Rauan Tleulin, Consul General of Kazakhstan in New York, U.S.

«Recently I have traveled to Kazakhstan to support Dimash at his two mega concerts in Astana. It’s my third trip to Kazakhstan. So, I really love the culture, the country, the people. It’s very warm and welcoming,» shared New York City resident Tanya Yang.
