Today, Secretary General of the
Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)
Kairat Sarybay reported to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the
progress of implementing Kazakhstan’s initiatives and priorities during its
CICA chairmanship. He informed the Head of State about the ongoing efforts to
strengthen the forum’s institutional framework. President Tokayev highlighted
Kazakhstan’s active role in transforming the CICA into an international
organization. He also emphasized the need for further development of the
organization by expanding its geographic scope and external relations, as well
as enhancing the efficiency of its permanent structures.
