The summer Kazakhstan Fire and Rescue Sports
Championship is taking place in the Kostanai region. Top athletes from all
regions of the country have gathered for the competition. On the first day,
participants competed in the assault ladder climb event, where women had to
reach the second floor and men the fourth as quickly as possible. The
tournament also includes an obstacle course, a fire relay, and combat
deployment of a motor pump. Notably, all the tasks are based on real-life
rescue scenarios. The best athletes from the championship will be selected for
Kazakhstan’s national team and will go on to compete at the world championship.
«I believe the most noble service is saving
lives and helping people. It’s a worthy profession, and that’s why I like it,»
said Madiyar Begaidarov, member of the Akmola region team.
«For me, it’s first and foremost my passion
and my job. You can only enjoy sports when you have a strong desire and love
for it. That’s when everything will start to work out,» added Darya Postolova,
member of the Kostanai region team.
