Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are developing along
an upward trajectory. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated this during a meeting with
Valentina Matviyenko. The Kazakh President also noted that the visit of the
Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia is
another significant event that contributes to strengthening inter-parliamentary
ties and the development of the multifaceted Kazakh-Russian strategic
partnership.
«President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin recently paid a
state visit to our country. A strong impetus was given to the further
development of the strategic partnership and alliance between our states. I
look to the future of our cooperation with great optimism,» Tokayev said.
The Head of State also emphasized the importance of
inter-parliamentary diplomacy and highlighted that lawmakers make a significant
contribution to the further advancement of mutually beneficial cooperation
between the two states. In turn, Matviyenko expressed her gratitude to
President Tokayev for the warm reception and conveyed greetings from the
Russian President, who highly values the outcomes of his recent visit to
Astana.
«The visit was indeed highly productive and fruitful. Most
importantly, our cooperation, which is gaining momentum, is both mutually
beneficial and based on mutual respect. Thanks to the efforts of the heads of
state of Kazakhstan and Russia, bilateral relations have reached an
unprecedented level. Whether it is mutual trade turnover, investments, major
industrial and energy projects, or cooperation in agriculture, these are
concrete examples of the strong strategic partnership and alliance between our
states,» Matviyenko said.

cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
