Kazakh President briefed on development of industry and energy sectors

Today, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Industry and Construction Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, who reported on the ministry’s activities over the past year. In particular, a unified platform for subsoil users was launched in Kazakhstan, urban development projects were digitized, and a geological exploration database is being developed with the help of artificial intelligence. The Head of State instructed to create a unified register of domestic producers this year. He also met with the Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov, who briefed him on the stable operation of domestic oil refineries. This year, they plan to process about 18 million tonnes of crude oil. Additionally, the Head of State was informed about the progress of the 2040 Oil Refining Industry Development Concept. The construction of the second line of the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent and Taldykorgan-Usharal main gas pipelines is also ongoing in the country. Following the meetings, President Tokayev issued a series of instructions aimed at further developing the country’s fuel and energy sector.
