Kazakhstan's transport
and logistics market is attracting global players. This is evidenced by the
annual increase in the number of registered companies at the international
specialized exhibition TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2024. This year, more than 200
companies from CIS countries, the Middle East, and Europe are participating.
For over 25 years, the event has brought together transport company executives,
cargo owners, service providers, and industry specialists to establish new
business connections and exchange experience.
«We are very pleased to see a large number of
Kazakh companies, including owners of warehouses and transport and logistics centers.
I would like to note that this year our foreign partners have shown great
interest in Kazakhstan's exhibition, with foreign companies making up more than
half of the participants, offering their services in transportation and cargo
delivery through Kazakhstan. We have a rich business program, with four
conferences covering all areas of transport scheduled over the next three days,»
said exhibition organizer Boris Danilenko.
One of these spheres is
the shipping industry. Kazmortransflot, Kazakhstan's national maritime carrier,
showcased its potential at the exhibition. It carries out transportation of
various cargoes abroad, including container, dry, and grain cargoes through the
sea gates on the Caspian Sea, which are key links in the Trans-Caspian
International Transport Route. Kazakhstan plans to increase the volume of
container transportation along this route to 10 million tonnes by 2030.
«This year, we reached a record high. While previously
up to 2,000 containers were shipped through the Aktau port each month, this
year we are transporting up to 7,000 containers from the Aktau port to the Baku
port. Overall, our maritime logistics have been developing well, with strong
exports of container cargoes. There is a growing flow of grain and oil cargo as
Kazakhstan seeks to develop alternative routes to the main ones that pass
through other countries,» noted Yerkin Nygmetov, Commercial Director of the
Kazmortransflot company.
