President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived
in the United Arab Emirates for a working visit and will participate in the Abu
Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) Summit. The Head of State was welcomed by UAE Vice
President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Abu Dhabi airport.
Kazakhstan, UAE intend to increase trade
turnover to $1 billion
The talks between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took place at the Qasr Al
Shatie Palace. The Head of State expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome
and hospitality and wished for the successful hosting of Abu Dhabi Sustainability
Week. He emphasized that the UAE is the country’s key partner in the Arab world
and highlighted that the relations between the two countries are developing in
a spirit of friendship, trust, and mutual respect. President Tokayev also
extended an invitation to the UAE President to visit Kazakhstan. Notably, the
UAE ranks among the top ten largest foreign investors in the country, with
direct investment inflows more than doubling last year. Both countries aim to
bring bilateral trade turnover to $1 billion.
