Kazakh Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov reported to
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, also the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the
Armed Forces, on the state of the army’s combat readiness and new approaches to
troop training. Zhaksylykov also briefed him on the development of military
infrastructure and the implementation of the state defense order. Following the
meeting, President Tokayev assigned the minister specific tasks to enhance the
army’s combat potential, digitize management processes, develop the Special
Operations Forces, and strengthen social and ideological work.
