This year, nearly 200 billion
tenge from Kazakhstan’s state budget is allocated for the implementation of
almost 2,000 projects in 800 villages as part of the Auyl - Yel Besigi program,
Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said at a government meeting. He instructed
to attract investments for more active development of the villages in the
regions. At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized that the project
funding increases annually. Over the three years, 326 billion tenge has been
allocated from the country’s budget for these purposes.
“More than 3,700 social and
engineering infrastructure development projects have been put in place in more
than a thousand villages. About 33,000 jobs have been created so far. Good
dynamics in the utilization of allocated funds can be observed in the Pavlodar,
Aktobe and Kyzylorda regions, whereas a lower level was recorded in the Almaty
and Ulytau regions,” Smailov informed.
The Prime Minister noted that
this year, the Concept of Rural Development, with the planned implementation
until 2027, was also adopted on the instructions of the Head of State.
“As part of the concept, the Auyl
- Yel Besigi project is defined as one of the main tools for the modernization
of rural infrastructure. By 2027, all 3,500 villages with high development
potential are expected to be brought up to the parameters of the System of
Regional Standards. The Kazakh Ministry of National Economy together with the
relevant state bodies and local administrations should take all necessary
measures to achieve the targets set within the Concept of Rural Development,” he
pointed out.
