Kazakh athletes take part in sixth Ethnosport Culture Festival in Türkiye

Kazakh athletes from the federations of audaryspak and tenge ilu national sports took part in the sixth Ethnosport Culture Festival in Istanbul, Türkiye. The festival brought together over 1,000 athletes and representatives of culture from more than 20 countries. Its program includes not only competitions in national sports but also exhibitions of applied arts of peoples, national cuisines, and performances of folklore music artists. The event is organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation for the sixth consecutive year. Its goal is the development and preservation of traditional sports. The participants were also invited to the forthcoming World Nomad Games.

«At the initiative of President Tokayev, Kazakhstan is set to host the fifth World Nomad Games this September with the significant support provided from the World Ethnosport Confederation. It is expected to bring together over 3,000 athletes. We are confident that the event will foster not only sports but also culture, sportsmanship, as well as the national sports of the country,» said Islambek Salzhanov, President of Kazakhstan’s National Sports Association.
