President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Moldova Mihai Popșoi at the
Akorda presidential palace. During the meeting, the two sides discussed
prospects for further strengthening Kazakh-Moldovan cooperation, including the
expansion of trade, economic, and investment ties across various sectors. The
Head of State noted that the opening of the Embassy of Moldova in Kazakhstan is
a significant step that reflects the two countries’ commitment to fostering
friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation. For his part, Mihai Popșoi congratulated
all Kazakh diplomats on their professional holiday and emphasized that
diplomacy plays a key role in today’s international landscape. At the
conclusion of the meeting, President Tokayev conveyed his greetings to the
President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
