President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received World Taekwondo
President Chungwon Choue. The Head of State described the distinguished guest’s
visit as a significant event for the country’s sports community, noting that
hosting the Kazakhstan Open 2025, a G-1 category tournament, in Astana would
create new opportunities for the growth of local athletes and enhance the
competitiveness of the national federation. In turn, Chungwon Choue commended
the achievements of Kazakh athletes. He was awarded the Dostyk Order of the
second degree and in return presented the Kazakh President with a ninth-dan
black belt.
