The eternal comprehensive strategic partnership between
Kazakhstan and China is developing steadily. There is significant potential for
increasing trade turnover and implementing major investment projects in
transport and logistics, energy, and artificial intelligence development. This
was discussed today by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his meeting with
Liu Jianchao, the head of the International Department of the Central Committee
of the Chinese Communist Party. The Head of State emphasized that during the visit
of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Astana in June for the second Central Asia –
China summit, new horizons for strategic cooperation between the two countries will
be outlined. In turn, Liu Jianchao noted that Beijing views Kazakhstan as a
strategically important partner and attaches priority importance to deepening Kazakh-Chinese
eternal comprehensive partnership. The meeting also addressed ways to
strengthen cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian
fields.
