Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Serbian President
Aleksandar Vučić following an official welcome ceremony for the President of
Kazakhstan. A guard of honor was lined up in the square in front of the Palace
of Serbia, the national anthems of both countries were played, and a 10-gun
salute was fired. During narrow-format talks with Aleksandar Vučić, President
Tokayev noted that this is his first visit to Serbia as Head of State,
emphasizing its great significance in opening an important chapter in
Kazakh-Serbian relations. Both Astana and Belgrade intend to strengthen trade,
economic, and investment cooperation, based on ongoing political dialogue and
mutual support. Aleksandar Vučić also highlighted Serbia’s interest in
deepening business ties with Kazakhstan, including joint projects in key
economic sectors. The Heads of State also exchanged views on topical issues on
the regional and international agenda.
