Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived at the Elysee Palace, where he was welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron. After the ceremony, the leaders of the countries held bilateral talks. President Tokayev thanked Emmanuel Macron for the invitation to pay an official visit to Paris. He noted that this is a great opportunity to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and bring relations to an even higher level. During the talks, the Kazakh President spoke about the political and economic modernization being carried out in the country. In turn, Macron stressed that Kazakhstan is a strategic partner of France. The trade and economic relations are actively developing between the countries, the parties are implementing joint projects in the energy sector, and the European Union is actively investing in various Kazakhstan`s projects. Macron also announced the opening of new French language schools in Kazakhstan in 2024. The French side supported the ongoing reforms in Kazakhstan. At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Emmanuel Macron to visit Kazakhstan.
