The Jibek Joly tourist train is setting off
on its next journey, this time in celebration of the Nauryz holiday. From March
20 to 25, passengers will travel to Almaty, Turkistan, Tashkent, Samarkand, and
one of the most ancient cities of Central Asia – Taraz. Over five days,
travelers will explore the spiritual heritage of the Silk Road and discover the
rich cultures of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Tourists will visit an ethno-village,
witness a demonstration of rituals, and taste national dishes. This marks the
train’s third trip since the Jibek Joly railway tour between Kazakhstan and
Uzbekistan launched in November last year. Not only local tourists but also
guests from Türkiye, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and other countries have
already shown interest in the project.
