The Astana Ballet theatre group, currently
on a tour in Almaty metropolis, launched their annual tour program last weekend
with a concert featuring opera singer Maria Mudryak and the symphony orchestra.
The concert was conducted by Giuseppe Acquaviva and Damir Saduakhassov. Looking
ahead, the Almaty Theatre will witness performances by Mukaram Avakhri, the
chief ballet master of the capital’s theatre. Among them are ‘Salome’ and ‘The Language
of Love,’ presented in eight different and unique interpretations. Almaty residents
and guests will also enjoy an Ethno Fashion Ballet performance featuring the
capital’s artists and the HasSak ethno-folk group. This show is dedicated to
the history, development, and profound meanings of the national costume. The
program will include a grand performance of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ choreographed by
Vladimir Yakovlev. The tour will conclude on April 16 with the ‘Melodic Show,’ promising
vibrant and recognizable instrumental pieces, unique jazz compositions, and
modern melodies presented in original arrangements.
