In the North Kazakhstan region, 52 investment projects worth
over 890 billion tenge are currently being implemented. The region ranks among
the top three in the country for milk production and holds first place in
industrial dairy complexes. Governor Gauez Nurmukhambetov reported to President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the region’s socio-economic development for the first
half of the year. Sown areas for oilseeds and forage crops have been expanded,
and water-saving technologies are being actively introduced. Under the Ken Dala
2 program, farmers received 97 billion tenge in funding. Overall, state support
for agriculture increased by nearly 25% compared to last year.
«The region is developing steadily. Investments are being
attracted, and key projects in agriculture and industry are underway.
Infrastructure is improving, and road repairs are in progress. Particular
attention is being paid to the social sector. A new well-equipped school is set
to open in Petropavl, major hospital renovations are ongoing, and an
international-standard sports facility is under construction. The Head of State
issued a number of instructions regarding the region’s development. Efforts in
this direction will continue,» Nurmukhambetov said.
