Humanitarian
initiatives, economic cooperation and Kazakhstan’s peacekeeping role are in the
foreign media spotlight. International outlets are analyzing Astana’s
participation, alongside other countries, in the work of the Board of Peace, as
well as the proposed mechanisms to stabilize the situation in the Middle East.
Associated Press and Reuters highlight the readiness of Kazakhstan and several
other states to support stabilization efforts in Gaza, including infrastructure
restoration and potential participation in international security initiatives.
Meanwhile, the Turkish news agency Anadolu emphasizes the humanitarian agenda
outlined by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which includes providing
500 educational grants to Palestinian students over five years and sharing
Kazakhstan’s experience in e-government and digital development. The country’s
economic interests are also receiving international coverage. The Azerbaijani
outlet Caspian Post reports plans to launch direct air service between Kazakhstan
and the U.S. in 2026 following the delivery of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The establishment of the first aircraft maintenance and repair center in
Shymkent, which could strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as a regional aviation
hub, is also under consideration. Additionally, the signing of an investment
agreement between Kazakhstan and the American company Mars, valued at nearly
$180 million, has been highlighted.
