Attracting investment, implementing large-scale business
projects, launching major production facilities, and expanding transit flows -
all of these efforts are aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s economic
potential. The recent Central Asia-China summit held in Astana, along with
Kazakhstan’s active participation in the event, contributes to the development
of multilateral cooperation and the implementation of long-term economic strategies.
This view was expressed by Aidos Sarym, a member of the Mazhilis, the Lower
House of the Kazakh Parliament. According to him, partnership with China offers
significant advantages for the entire Central Asian region, especially in the
field of logistics.
«Our task is to do everything possible to ensure that our
region - not only Kazakhstan, but also Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic,
Tajikistan, and others - is of interest to China. We must preserve peace and
stability so that tourists are drawn to visit. Today, transporting goods
produced in China through our region has proven to be far more cost-effective
than using maritime routes. It is essential that we support and strengthen this
corridor in every possible way,» Sarym said.
