Experts: environmental issues have become part of global agenda

Climatic changes, environmental pollution, and the irrational use of resources are contributing to the escalation of the global water crisis. These issues can only be addressed if countries unite. According to Abdulaziz Sager, Chairman of the Gulf Research Centre, the One Water Summit serves as a platform where participants seek practical solutions to these challenges and are focused on developing plans for the conservation of water resources.

«Having the issue of desertification and water makes it extremely important. And the good thing is that it will be chaired by three countries: Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and France, and that will give it a lot of importance. Close to 40 countries and also many international organizations are participating. Saudi Arabia has one of the largest deserts, as well as Kazakhstan, where there is a very large and big desert. So, it is important for both sides: water and desertification,» Abdulaziz Sager noted.
