Kazakhstan to create nature reserve to preserve Caspian seal population

A nature reserve for the preservation of the Caspian seal is set to be established in Kazakhstan, according to the relevant draft resolution developed by the country’s Ministry of Agriculture. It will be located near the Caspian Sea in the territories of the Mangystau and Atyrau regions. The project will be financed by national budget funds earmarked for the maintenance of specially protected natural areas. It is worth noting that the Caspian seal is included in the List of Rare and Endangered Species of Plants and Animals.
